Plagiarism Policy

Originality and Authorship

• All manuscripts submitted to JACTA must represent the authors' original work.

• Any use of another person's ideas, words, data, figures, or other materials must be properly cited, quoted, or acknowledged in accordance with accepted academic practices. Failure to do so may constitute plagiarism and is strictly prohibited.

Self-Plagiarism

• Authors must not reuse substantial portions of their own previously published work without appropriate acknowledgement, citation, or valid justification.

• Duplicate or redundant publication of substantially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication is not permitted.

Concurrent Submissions

• Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Such practice is considered unethical and unacceptable.

Acknowledgement of Sources

• Appropriate credit must always be given to the work and contributions of others.

• Authors are responsible for ensuring that relevant publications, ideas, data, and other sources that have influenced their research are properly and accurately cited.

Editorial Screening and Verification

• Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by the editorial team to ensure appropriate citation, quotation, and acknowledgement of sources.

• Manuscripts may also be screened using plagiarism-detection software, including Turnitin. A similarity index exceeding 20% may result in rejection where the level of similarity cannot be adequately justified.

• The similarity percentage will not be considered in isolation. The editorial team may also evaluate the nature, source, and extent of the matched content before making a final decision.
